I can confidently say I am in my Kindle era. I jumped back into reading in 2021 after my daughter was born and at the time I was die-hard for physical books. As my daughter got older and more mobile (and destructive) I realized I needed something lightweight and easy to take with me that wouldn’t get damaged if my wild child got ahold of it. In comes my first Kindle Paperwhite and as soon as I read my first book on it I was hooked! I was even able to listen to audiobooks on it!
Since I have been a Kindle girlie for a few years, I feel I have a good grasp on the must-have accessories. Accessories ranging from cases, stickers, and flexible gooseneck arms to allow comfortable reading in bed.
1. First things first, if you do not already have a Kindle then you’re going to need to get one, and this is the newest model of the Kindle Paperwhite. The perks of this new Kindle include the new slim design, the faster page-turning, and the addition of new colors! This Kindle comes in Black, Jade, and Raspberry.

2. Now a case is a great idea because these Kindles may be tiny and pretty durable but you can never be too safe. I recommend the clear cases because you can still see the beautiful color on the back and if you decide to get stickers for your Kindle they easily slide in between the case and Kindle(The clear case listed is for the Kindle listed above but you can get them in many different sizes depending on your Kindle Paperwhite generation). If you are not a clear case type of person and enjoy a case that covers the screen then I got you too! These folder cases include a strap for easy holding while reading.

3. If you do end up getting a clear case then sticker packs become your best friend. You can change up the design any time you want which is a huge plus if you’re into changing out your aesthetic frequently! The beauty of the clear case is you don’t have to stick the stickers directly on anything, you can place the stickers (with their backings still intact) on the Kindle and then place the clear case over it to hold the stickers in place.

4. The Kindles may be small and lightweight but having a pop socket or Kindle grip is a game changer! They both stick to the back of your case or Kindle and you always have a convenient grip so your hands stay comfortable and don’t cramp up when you’re reading for multiple hours. These specific Kindle grip straps are interchangeable so like the stickers you can change them depending on your mood that day.

5. A must-have that I can not live without is without a doubt the gooseneck holder. This one is very long and is capable of attaching to my bed frame securely. The hold it has on my Kindle is also very sturdy and I do not fear it will fall on my face while I am reading in bed. And if you decide you want to move it and attach it somewhere else the process is very easy.

6. The perfect companion to your new gooseneck holder is the remote control page turner for hands-free page flipping! This thing is so amazing! It allows me to flip my page without having to leave my warm comfy blanket. And not only does it work for Kindle but it works on other devices too so it doesn’t have to only be for one electronic.

7. Another cutesy item to add to your new Kindle is a dust plug. This is not only cute but keeps the charger port clean and free of damage. Those little nooks get really dirty really fast. Trust me.

Are all of these something you need? Probably not but they are something you want! This is hopefully just a starting point to get you started in the booktok, bookstagram, and booktube world. I myself am still collecting stickers and Kindle cases because let’s be honest… you can’t have too many!
Did I miss something that you think I need (or don’t need)? Let me know! I love finding new ways to decorate my Kindle or have a more enjoyable reading experience.
