Hello 2025! The start of a new year means new movie releases but let’s take a look at some hit movies from 2015 that are worth a rewatch! And a lot of these movies are sequels that are equally as good or better than the original (yes I said what I said)!

2. Star Wars: The Force Awakens

As Kylo Ren and the sinister First Order rise from the ashes of the Empire, Luke Skywalker is missing when the galaxy needs him most. 4. Furious 7

5. Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials

Thomas and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. 6. Insurgent

Tris searches for answers and allies in the second installment of the Divergent series. 7. Ted 2

With the help of their smart, beautiful lawyer, the Thunder Buddies for life battle to legalize Ted in this funny sequel that will keep fans laughing right up to the very end.

8. Pitch Perfect 2

Beca, Fat Amy, and the Barden Bellas are back to pitch-slap the world! After a scandal threatens to derail their last year at Barden, the three-time defending champs worry that they’ve lost their harmony for good. With one chance left at redeeming their legacy, they must face off against the toughest competition on the planet: German supergroup Das Sound Machine and fight for their right to win at the World Championships of Acapella. It will take the power of sisterhood to find their voice and see what it takes to be the world’s top pitches.

9. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2

After six years of keeping our malls safe, Paul Blart has earned a well-deserved holiday. He heads to Vegas with his teenage daughter before she heads off to college. But safety never takes a holiday when duty calls, Blart answers.

10. Hotel Transylvania 2

Drac is worried that his adorable half-human, half-vampire grandson, Dennis, isn’t showing signs of being a vampire. So while Mavis is on vacation, things get batty as Drac enlists his monster friends Frank, Murray, Wayne, and Griffin to put Dennis through a “monster-in-training” boot camp!

11. Mad Max: Fury Road

13. Fifty Shades of Grey

12. Jurassic World

13. Fantastic Four

Four young outsiders teleport to an alternate universe, their physical forms altered in shocking ways. They must harness their incredible new powers and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy, the infamous Dr. Doom.

14. SPY

Deskbound CIA analyst Susan Cooper is about to become the world’s newest – and unlikeliest – secret weapon. 15. The DUFF

Bianca’s universe turns upside down when she learns that her high school refers to her as a “DUFF” (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). Hoping to erase that label, she enlists the help of a charming jock and her favorite teacher. Together they’ll face the school’s mean girl and remind everyone that we are all someone’s DUFF… and that’s totally fine.

16. Paper Towns

17. Minions

Since the dawn of time, Minions have served (and accidentally eliminated) history’s most despicable villains. 18. Inside Out

Do you ever look at someone and wonder what’s going on inside their head? Inside Out takes a rollicking journey into the mind to find the answer. Based in Headquarters, the control center of 11- year – old Riley’s mind, five emotions are hard at work, led by lighthearted optimist Joy. She strives to make sure Riley stays happy as she operates alongside fellow emotions Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness.

19. Pixels

When aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth using games like PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede and Space Invaders as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper has to call on his childhood best friend, ‘80s video game champion Sam Brenner to lead a team of old-school arcaders to defeat the aliens and save the planet. 

20. The Peanuts Movie

Join everyone’s favorite eternal optimist, Charlie Brown, as he embarks on a heroic quest, while his beagle pal Snoopy takes to the skies to pursue his archnemesis, the Red Baron. It’s a hilarious and heartwarming adventure that proves every underdog has his day!

21. The Age of Adeline

22. Daddy’s Home

But when their biological father Dusty shows up unexpectedly, Brad’s idyllic family life is turned upside down and he must go toe-to-toe with Dusty in this hilarious family comedy that “will have you in stitches”

23. The Intern

24. Aloha

25. The Longest Ride

27. Home Sweet Hell

28. Krampus

I don’t know about you but a movie night is in my future (or a couple movie nights). A lot of these movies I couldn’t believe were already 10 years old and others I couldn’t believe they were only 10 years old! How many of these movies were you surprised to see on this list?
